LORIENT Perimeter Seal Smoke & Acoustic 2100mm Long (Batwing) – 12mm Batwing Seal (White)

Description

The Lorient Batwing® LAS1010 and LAS1212 are medium duty perimeter seals designed to provide effective smoke and acoustic containment around the head and jambs of single and double leaf doors. Their distinctive double-fin profile uses flexible fins which maintain contact with the door surfaces while keeping opening and closing resistance to a minimum. The seals contribute towards the containment of sound, smoke, draughts and light, with acoustic testing in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2 demonstrating performance of up to Rw 44dB when installed as part of an appropriate doorset. Manufactured from a co-extruded rigid PVC backing with flexible fins, the Batwing® seal is designed to recover its shape after repeated operation for reliable long term performance. Installation is straightforward using the self-adhesive backing, making the seals particularly suitable for retrofit applications with minimal disruption to the existing doorset. Both versions are smoke tested to BS 476-31.1 at ambient temperature, while the LAS1212 also carries test evidence to BS EN 1634-3. The range has been durability tested to a minimum of 100,000 cycles and is covered by Certifire approval CF5179.
