Description

The Lorient AS Fire, Smoke & Acoustic Seals LP1004AS, LP1504AS and LP2004AS are high-performance perimeter seals designed to provide combined fire, smoke and acoustic protection around single and double leaf door assemblies. Each seal incorporates PVC-encased sodium silicate intumescent material together with a flexible elastomeric fin, helping to restrict the passage of smoke and sound during normal use while expanding under fire conditions to help maintain the integrity of the doorset. The range is available in 10mm, 15mm and 20mm widths, all with a 4mm seal body and 2100mm in length, allowing the appropriate size to be selected to suit the tested door configuration. Designed for installation within the door edge or frame, the AS seals operate effectively across door gaps of approximately 3–4mm and also provide additional thermal containment. The range is suitable for tested 30 and 60 minute fire door applications, subject to the specific doorset construction and seal configuration. Fire performance has been tested to BS 476-22 and BS EN 1634-1, with smoke performance tested to BS 476-31.1 and acoustic performance to BS EN ISO 10140-2. The seals have also undergone 100,000-cycle durability testing and are covered by Lorient Certifire certification CF330 and CF341.
