LORIENT Drop Down Seal SI Face Fix LAS8002 SI – 735mm Face Fix

Description

The Lorient LAS8002 SI is a slimline, face-fixed automatic drop seal designed to provide an effective barrier at the threshold of single and double leaf doors. Its surface mounted design makes it particularly suitable for upgrading existing doors where morticing may not be practical. A high-efficiency automatic mechanism lowers the silicone rubber gasket as the door closes and lifts it clear of the floor as soon as the door opens by a few millimetres, helping to minimise operating resistance and unnecessary wear. The seal requires no electrical power and can be used on both right and left handed doors. Suitable for acoustic and smoke control applications, the LAS8002 si has been acoustically tested to BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010, providing performance of up to Rw 31dB when used as part of an appropriate doorset. Smoke performance has been tested to BS 476-31.1 and BS EN 1634-3 at ambient temperature, while the seal is also suitable for use on timber fire doors when face-fixed in accordance with the relevant fire test evidence. The self-levelling mechanism accommodates uneven floor surfaces and can seal gaps between 1mm and 13mm, with the seal height independently adjustable from the fixing screws. Supplied as standard in silver anodised aluminium with grey end caps and a grey silicone rubber gasket, the LAS8002 si provides a durable and unobtrusive solution for improving door sealing performance.
