LORIENT Drop Down Seal Mortice Fix LAS8001 SI – 835mm Mortice Fix

Description

The Lorient LAS8001 SI is a slimline automatic drop seal designed for concealed mortice installation into the bottom edge of single or double leaf doors. Its high-efficiency spring-loaded mechanism automatically lowers the silicone rubber seal as the door closes, creating an effective barrier beneath the door, then lifts the seal clear of the floor as soon as the door begins to open. This reduces resistance during operation and helps prevent unnecessary wear to both the seal and floor covering. The unit requires no electrical connection and is suitable for both right and left handed door applications. Designed to assist with fire, smoke and acoustic containment, the LAS8001 si has been tested to BS EN 1634-1 and BS 476-22 for fire performance, with suitability for FD30 and FD60 applications when installed in accordance with the relevant test evidence. It also provides smoke sealing in accordance with BS EN 1634-3 and BS 476-31.1 and can contribute acoustic performance of up to Rw 39dB. The seal is self-levelling to compensate for uneven floors, while the drop height can be independently adjusted to achieve reliable contact with the threshold. A durable silicone rubber gasket and automatic operating mechanism provide dependable performance for high-frequency commercial and residential door applications.
